Funeral services for Mr. Russell Hudson will be held at 12:00pm on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, in the Wade Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Hudson, age 92, passed away from this life on Monday, August 10, 2026, at his residence in Collins. Brother Glenn Freeman and Brother Brian Dickens will officiate. Interment will be in the Lone Star Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Robbie Beach, Todd Little, Anthony Broome, Clint Hudson, Gerad Hudson, and Carlton Cooper. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Carlon Broome, Randy Hudson, Max Dyar, Sr., Ben Williams, and Terry Wayne McDaniel.

Russell Daro Hudson was born on October 6, 1933, in Prentiss to Florence Wade Hudson and Carl Hudson. Mr. Hudson was a graduate of Jones Junior College and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was retired from Southeastern Concrete, where he was a dispatcher and a concrete inspector. He was a member of Seminary United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Florence and Carl Hudson; a son-in-law, Freddie King; 2 brothers, Barnice Hudson and Kenneth Hudson; and a sister, Udell Broome.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Alice Strebeck Hudson of Collins; 2 daughters, Belinda King and Sharon Dickens (Robin), all of Collins; 1 son, Pat Hudson of Hattiesburg; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Dickens, Misty Dickens, and Jacob King; 1 great-grandchild, Decker Daenen; and a caretaker, Sandra Frazier; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 10:30am to 12:00pm at Wade Funeral Home.
