Funeral Services for Ms. Ruthie Jean McRaney will be held at 1:00pm on Thursay, April 18, 2024, in the Wade Funeral Home Chapel. Ms. McRaney, age 89, and formerly of Sumrall, passed away from this life on Monday, April 15, 2024, in Picayune. Reverend Vern Rodgers will officiate and interment will be in the Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ian Baase, Roy Baase, Zachary Shoemake, Raymond Rodgers, Lane Ivy, and Jonathan Evans.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Ruth Imogene Rodgers McRaney was born on February 9, 1935, in Forrest County to James T. and Mattie Waites Rodgers. She was a retired nursing assistant and a member of Tallahala Church of God.

Ms. McRaney was preceded in death by her mother and father, James and Mattie Rodgers; her husband, Roy Adam McRaney; 1 son, Wayne Shoemake; and 7 brothers and sisters, Bill, Otis, Leonard, Loraine, Lillie, Katheryn, and an infant brother.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Glenda Faciane (Phillip) of Slidell, LA, and Martha Ivey of Picayune; 1 son, Bob Shoemake (Diane) of Seminary; 6 grandchildren, Wendy Basse, John Ivey, Sonya Kruckenbery, Kristi Brown, Tiffany Boleware, and Zach Shoemake; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The visitation will be from 11:00am until 1:00pm on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Wade Funeral Home.
