Graveside Funeral Services for Mr. Shane Thornton will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Cold Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Thornton was 54 years of age and passed away from this life on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, in Collins. Reverend Mike Davis will officiate.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Serving as pallbearers are Bryan Thornton, Jacob Thornton, Kevin Strebeck, Jason Sullivan, Brett Smith, and Jason Farmer.

David Shane Thornton was born on December 3, 1968, in Collins, to Roger Daryl Thornton and Annette Smith Thornton. Mr. Thornton was an automotive painter and a member of The Springs Church.

Mr. Thornton was preceded in death by his father, Roger Daryl Thornton.

Survivors include his mother, Annette Hamill of Collins; 2 brothers, Bryan (Joanie) Thornton of Mize, and Dennis Thornton of Collins; and 1 sister, Sherri (Rick) Bateh of Jacksonville, FL; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

IN THE EVENT OF INCLIMATE WEATHER THE SERVICE WILL BE HELD IN THE WADE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, IN LIEU OF THE GRAVESIDE.
