Shirley Lucas Cranford

Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Lucas Cranford will be held at 10:00am Friday, August 3, 2018, at Leaf River Baptist Church. Mrs. Cranford, 73, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018, in Hattiesburg. Reverend Dr. Brett Golson and Reverend Dr. Dorman Laird will officiate and interment will be in the Leaf River Baptist Church Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Reed Abercrombie, Danny Wade, Wilford Speed, Michael Taormina, Lee Taormina, and Kevin Polk.

Shirley Ann Lucas Cranford was born September 12, 1944, in Columbia, S.C., to Ellzey Lucas and Blondell Branch Lucas. Mrs. Cranford was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant. She was a member of the Leaf River Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; 1 sister, Vermell Broadus; and 1 brother, Claxton Lucas.

Mrs. Cranford is survived by her husband of 58 years, Tommy Cranford; 2 daughters, Lisa Cranford of Collins, and Becky Holder (Joel) of Petal; 1 grandson, Josh Holder of Petal; and 1 sister-in-law, Barbara Lucas of Lexington, S.C.; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 2, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Wade Funeral Home. A second visitation will be held Friday, August 3, from 8:00am to 10:00am at Leaf River Baptist Church.
