A private family scattering service will be held for Mrs. Susan L. Headrick of the Salem Community. Mrs. Headrick, age 80, passed away from this life on Saturday, February 22, 2025, in Collins.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Susan Lou Cutbirth Headrick was born on July 19, 1944, in Burlington, IA, to Jack Tilford Cutbirth and Emma Lou Self Cutbirth. Mrs. Headrick earned her B.S. in Nursing from Presbyterian Hospital School of Medicine in Denver, CO. She spent most of her career as a BSRN in Intensive Care Units and the Cardiac Care Units. Mrs. Headrick was assigned to the Department of Defense, Panama Canal Zone Medical Center, and had most recently been the BSRN for Pine Belt Mental Health.

Mrs. Headrick was preceded in death by her mother and father.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas Wayne Headrick of Collins, and a brother, Steven (Kari) Curtbirth of Poulsbo, WA.; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
