A memorial service for Virgil Ray Culpepper will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Evergreen Baptist Church. Mr. Culpepper, age 63, passed away from this life on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at his residence in Collins. Inurnment will be in the Collins City Cemetery. Reverend Chad Cummins will officiate.

Virgil Ray Culpepper was born on March 22, 1962, in Collins, to William Randolph Culpepper, Sr. and Sue Long Culpepper. Mr. Culpepper was a line clearance supervisor with B-Line, and formerly Bush Construction. He worked for many years with Culpepper and Sons, and later Culpepper Enterprise Incorporated, CEI.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Sue and Randolph Culpepper; his step-mother, Marie Culpepper; his brother, Randy Culpepper, and his sister, Martha "Sissy" Culpepper Sanford.

Survivors include his daughter, Amanda (Kevin) Pittman of Collins; grand-daughter, Kensi Belle Pittman of Collins; his former wife, Sandra Wilson Ervin of Prentiss; 1 brother, Lee Roy (Louise) Culpepper of Clarkton, NC; and nieces and nephews, Hope Crosby, Megan Culpepper, Jannie Nicole Culpepper, Jeffery Lee Sanford and Karen Sanford; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Evergreen Baptist Church Building Fund at 65 Evergreen Church Road, Seminary, MS 39479.
