Funeral services for Mr. Shannon Bain will be held at 12:00pm on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Shiloh Baptist Church in Mount Olive. Mr. Bain, age 58, passed away from this life on Monday, January 12, 2026, in Mt. Olive. Brother Dewitt Bain, Brother Joseph Bain, Brother Harold Floyd, and Brother Michael Miller will officiate, and interment will follow in the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Bain, Jacob Bain, Jeff Fountain, Jared Bynum, Ben Flynt, and Michael Jenkins.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

William Shannon Bain was born on May 3, 1967, in Kosciusko, to Brenda Joan Johnson Bain and William Dewitt Bain. Mr. Bain earned Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi. He was greatly involved in theater, both as an actor and a director. He participated in and appeared in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade for many years. He was a Professor of Music at Motlow State Community College near Nashville, TN. Mr. Bain was of the Baptist Faith.

He was reunited in heaven with his grandparents, H. Dewitt and Virginia Bain, and J.W. Johnson, and Mamie D. Johnson..

Survivors include his mother and father, Brenda and Dewitt Bain of Mt. Olive; 2 brothers, Brandon Bain of Nashville, TN, and Joseph Bain and his wife, Marlena of Fulton; 2 nephews, Jonathan Bain and his wife Demi of Amory, and Jacob Bain of Starkville; and 1 great-niece, Margaret Anne Bain; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, January 16, 2026, from 10:00am until 12:00pm at Shiloh Baptist Church.
