Funeral Services for Mr. William O. "Buddy" Vineyard, Sr. will be held at 10:00am on Friday, February 25, 2022, in the Chapel at Wade Funeral Home. Mr. Vineyard, age 80, passed away from this life on Thursday, February 17, 2022, in Collins. Reverend Kevin Shearer will officiate and interment with Military Honors will be in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Mize.

Pallbearers will be Dr. True Lansden, John Russell, John Speed, Michael Vineyard, Brandon Vineyard, and Drew Vineyard.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

William Orleans "Buddy" Vineyard, Sr. was born on June 5, 1941, in Mt. Olive to Loren Neal Vineyard and Myra Louise McLaurin Vineyard. Mr. Vineyard was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a retired Road and Bridge Inspector for Wolverton Engineering. Mr. Vineyard had previously worked for the U.S. Postal Service, Capital Tank Lines, and Miller Transport. Mr. Vineyard married the love of his life, Carolyn Shoemake Vineyard, on December 22, 1965. Mr. Vineyard had a passion for fishing, hunting, watching old Western and War movies. He was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; his wife of 46 years, Mrs. Lyndel Carolyn Vineyard; and 1 sister, Lavenia Vineyard.

Survivors are his daughter, Lisa Lansden (Dr. True) of Key West, FL; 2 sons, William Orleans "Bill" Vineyard, Jr. (Kelly) of Hattiesburg and Malcomb Vineyard of Collins; 8 grandson; 2 great-grandsons; and 1 brother, Sam Vineyard (Ada) of Purvis; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 24, 2022, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Wade Funeral Home.
